Overview

LFB is part of the design team of the LowLine project in Lambeth. The LowLine Wayfinding project forms part of Lambeth’s wider ambition to create a more connected, accessible and people-centred network of routes across the borough. Led by CarverHaggard, the project focuses on improving legibility, confidence and movement along the emerging LowLine corridor, strengthening links between neighbourhoods, stations, cultural destinations and local businesses.

Before & After

Design process

LFB is focusing on the use of lighting after dark to support navigation across the site, clarifying routes, enhancing visibility and promoting active use of the public space. This approach strengthens the wayfinding strategy, reinforcing the LowLine’s role as a coherent walking and cycling spine, one that encourages active travel, reveals hidden connections, and helps residents and visitors navigate the area with greater ease. The project aims to bring clarity and identity to the route, complementing public realm improvements and contributing to a more welcoming, inclusive and enjoyable experience for all who use it.
