Wimbledon Development

LFB have been appointed to design the public areas lighting for the Wimbledon Development around the new stadium.

Taking on board the challenge to deliver a  scheme that serves both the residents and the large crowds visiting the stadium, we designed flexible solutions for the squares and main street allowing day to day lighting as well as event lighting during times of increased footfall.

The semi-private courtyards have a lower light level and a more intimate atmosphere. The introduction of human scale lighting and integrated lighting into seating areas help create a more human scale space among the surrounding mid-rise buildings.

Glare management, light spill and light trespass have been carefully taken into consideration, as well as the recommendation by Secured by Design (silver).
