Thamesmead Social Club
Project details
Overview
The Thamesmead Social Club is has once again become a local hub within Thamesmead which is home to Peabody’s offices as well as a series of meeting rooms, community event spaces and cafe all open to the public.
Project Orange redesigned the building to have a more open and inviting appearance while still maintaining key architectural features of the 1970s building.
The proposed lighting is largely functional with unique features and decorative lighting introduced within key spaces to create a dramatic effect and introduce flexibility for lighting scenes and the respond to the evolution of the building as the local communities make it their own.
Where photographs of original light fittings were available we have succeeded in finding suitable, cost effect alternatives which closely match in appearance and provide the desired lighting effect.
