Lectures & workshops
An important aspect of our design approach is knowledge sharing
We promote our methodology and approach as a new way of designing lighting for public spaces. We strive to share knowledge, inspire and inform colleagues, clients and collaborators to better understand the potential of lighting as a tool for engagement and change.

Shaping the future of lighting
We have played a major role in building ‘social lighting’ as a design approach over the past 20 years. With strong links to research and academic studies, we continue to help shape lighting policy and professional practice through our methodology and projects, and our participation in policy forums, conferences, research programmes and education.
We value the important role that future lighting designers will play in our industry and regularly lecture at universities across the globe in order to expose up and coming lighting designers to a new method of working.
We also organise large scale international workshop in collaboration with educational and professional institutions. These multi-day events invite lighting and design professionals to rethink their approach to lighting design by using social research and temporary lighting installations to ignite discussions with local communities and stakeholders about their spaces after dark and expand the discussions of lighting design into exciting new topics.
We are always open to new opportunities and collaborations. Interested in knowing more or organising an activity together?
